"Just see things from my point of view!"
There are times when all you need to make a situation better is for someone else to change their attitude.
"The situation is not that bad, it is just the way they see it."
That is your opinion anyway...
You want to say: "Just trust me" or "Just see things from my point of view"
If what you really want from someone is for their attitude to change...
Leave their attitude alone.
A person's attitude is the output of their perception of a situation.
Trying to change an output by going after only the output is not effective.
The input filtering process is what you need them to change.
Simply put: the way they think about the situation needs to change.
Inputs eventually shape a person's perception after they internalize the information and decide how it all makes them feel.
Input --> thinking-->perception-->opinion=attitude/feeling.
So leave their attitude alone.
Think of it like handing a person a pair of glasses rather than making them take your word that something is there.
Help them see.
Help them think about things differently.
The outcome changing in your favor will take care of itself.
