You make it happen.
For a long time
salespeople were viewed as "good" at
their job if they were able to convince someone to buy something they didn’t
want.
It was considered a
skill…
But the nature of
the skill had an air of deception
encircling it.
Some salespeople are
still trying to make sales with that skill.
They
are not professionals.
They
motivate with ultimatums and fear.
They will not last.
Not only is it a
dead business plan for success, deceptive selling is a foolproof way to race to
the bottom.
Let them race there.
You may see them on your way to the top.
Just keep in mind...
You can see someone while walking your path, but that does not mean they are going to the same destination.
They are not you.
You are on the way to the top.
The successful
Realtor salesperson today is a counselor who identifies the needs of his or her prospects.
A person who sets
out first to discover prospects needs
and then fills those needs with his
or her service and knowledge.
You make it happen for your clients...
That "it" represents what they want...
The salesperson(you) makes
it happen for everyone else.
Other people are
making their living because of you.
You stimulate the
production of everything.
You represent the
freedom of private businesses to operate competitively.
This system of
competition builds profit.
That profit is what
allows for the standard of living to be as high as it is in this country.
The demand you
create is what creates the production of everything.
Think about it.
From the sign you put in a persons yard saying: "for sale!", to the printer that is needed to print out a contract...
It is all needed because of you.
So the next time you
wonder where you fall in the professional food chain…
Or when you wonder
if you should take a cut in your commission…
Rest assured there
are few professions more important than yours.
It is easy to fall
victim to self-criticism when you have your own business.
There are no other
people to blame.
That is why you have
to have a good attitude and respect towards yourself and your title.
You have to
confidently think:
“What I do is
important and I am important”
What you think about
the most manifests into your reality.
It has to start in your head to end up in your hands.
Holding onto that thought will help you let go of a lot of self doubt.
