The Pursuit of Happiness
There are all kinds of things that make other people happy.
Happy people are happy to tell you what makes them happy
if you ask.
But if you find yourself looking at the things that make other
people happy in the hopes they will infect you with the same bliss…
You may find that you are immune to their particular
strain of happiness.
Do you want to know why they say: “and just when I stopped
looking for happiness I found it”.?
They say that
because adding and looking for something else
almost never works.
Happiness happens when we focus less on what we need to add to make us happy…
Happiness is a side effect.
A positive side effect that happens by eliminating what we
know for sure does not make us happy.
Spatially eliminating things and people who hurt us.
Making values based decision that YOU are more important.
Subtract negative things from your life ...
Don’t add things to fix a lack of happiness.
Psychologically it has been proven a new car may actually
give you the illusion of being happy for a time.
But soon…it will fade because nothing truly meaningful
changed.
Subtract negative things first.
Negative thoughts.
Negative people’s influence on you.
Negative habits that you know you can get help fixing…
Eliminate in the pursuit of happiness.
Soon you will find that what you have left is happiness.
The you that got
rid of the burdens and weight that was bringing you down.
Then you can buy a car.
But be ready for some irony when you eliminate a lot of the
negativity in your life….
You won’t care about the car as much.
You will not care about any of the things that un-happy you used to think would make you happy.
Not when you feel the weight of negativity lifted.
Truly…madly…. deeply happy people almost never care about the car.
What tends to have a hard time getting through to us during our
unhappiest times is this:
As we all go through this
life our well-being and our health are
the most important “vehicles” we will ever spend time in.
The parts of our lives that are left after we eliminate as
much negativity as we can are the best chapters of our lives.
Eliminate your way to happy.
You cannot copy and past other peoples happy.
You have to “cut” and “delete”.
